The Locker room between the San Jose Sabercats for the most part is one of the quietest locker rooms around the league, under the captaincy of linemen Ben Longshaw, the Sabercats keep mostly to themselves, and are a rather collected group. But behind closed doors, the Sabercats have one terrible secret. A Prank war, which stems all the way up to the GM Himself, Perk Rules. We sat down with Starting RB Vick Bowers Jr. to discuss this ongoing war, and how it's affected his time on the field with the cats so far.
"I think that the main thing we take away from the jokes and stuff we pull in the Locker Room is the camaraderie. We're all brothers out there, and we take our jobs very seriously, but out on that field? It's a game, and you gotta have fun with it. Preparation sometimes takes the fun outta the game. The main guy doing it honestly is [Bailey] Cook. Those recievers man, they're weird people, all these pregame rituals and shit. He will like tie my shoes together before every game. He says it's so both of my feet work together or some shit, but it takes me at least 10 minutes to untie them every time."
The Sabercats have another game tonight when they take on the Arizona Outlaws. For Tom Jefferson, this has been ABC5 here in San Jose.
