The Yeti celebrated joyously a big week 2 victory over the Yellowknife Wraiths, a conference rival. However, the jovial feeling led to a spirit of mischief in the air. Many Yeti players were joking around with each other and teasing each other during the celebration. A few players ribbed Boss Tweed about his first quarter fumble against the Wraiths. The play nearly cost the Yeti the game, but they were able to retake the lead with Logan Noble’s late 4th quarter touchdown pass. Luckily Tweed helped to redeem himself with runs that set up the Yeti’s touchdown and their second field goal and the Yeti pulled out the victory, so the teasing was mostly good natured. A few people referred to Tweed as “butterfingers” as a joke. After about an hour of celebration, Tweed went to his locker to collect his things and go home. However, when he tried to open the lock, he discovered that somebody had coated it in butter. He tried to get a good grip for a couple minutes before deciding to simply take the time to wipe off the butter. When he went outside to his car, he saw that it was surrounded by a circle of tubs of butter and the door handles were also covered in butter. Luckily, the day’s big victory allowed Tweed to laugh off the prank, although he made a mental note to spend plenty of time focusing on ball control to avoid future fumbles. Tweed is also unaware who the prankster was, but he has a couple of revenge pranks in mind for when he does find out.
