Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure Adams played a lot of snaps lined up as a receiver, and OCO basically played an air raid offense. When you take that into account, his year isn't all that impressive. He was a WR that basically took snaps at RB some times. As a pure RB, Brown was one of if not the best in all three major categories, rushing, receiving, and blocking.

I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I somewhat agree with you here. Adams earned the FB designation which means he was in fact lining up as a receiver from time to time (no idea how often). In my mind, that FB designation removes him from the running for RB of the year almost by itself. I do think he is a strong consideration for Offensive Player of the Year though. He was great both through the air and on the ground and a real game-changer for the Otters.
