A fullback is a type of running back. The award is called Running Back of the Year. It is not called Runner of the Year. Docking people for achieving at their position from within the rules they are playing under is highly frustrating.

Either players should be allowed to line up in various ways within the rules and do things and have those successes accounted for and recognized....or players should not be allowed to do that if their broader achievements aren't supposed to count. This "we're gonna allow it but also hold it against you when it comes to recognition" bullshit needs to be gone yesterday.

It's the worst of all choices.

In the real world, yes, a fullback is a type of running back. In our sim, things are a bit different though. It gives the player a clear advantage in receiving yards by allowing them to run longer routes and there's no arguing that. He averages roughly 40% more yards per reception than the best receiving RB due to the routes he's allowed to run. One only has to look at Asipi, who is also a FB, to confirm that. As a rookie he has the 2nd most yards per reception of all RB/FBs. Because of that, my personal opinion is that FBs shouldn't be considered for RBotY. People seem to be glossing over the fact that I said he's a strong consideration for OPotY though.
