This little story all started in the testosterone-fueled pre-draft environment. As everyone knows, I was by far the best center prospect this year. Then this little upstart, Jogn Floggity, comes along declaring himself the best center. Well, I wasn't having any of that nonsense, I went right up to his face and told him how it was gonna be. Luckily for me, he wasn't having any of it either and just dug his heels. That's when I knew I had a real nemesis, someone to really push me to be my best.
I couldn't believe it, we were drafted to the same team. Not only that, he was drafted ahead of me too! Unbelievable, I couldn't believe I was gonna have to start working with this guy and, at least in the eyes of the GMs, he was the better prospect. I wouldn't let that deter me though; instead, it motivated me. Every day at practice the first thing I do is find Jogn and challenge him to that starting center position. He replies in kind. I find him in the weight room and make sure to out rep him. He stays with me in lock step. Jogn is definitely my biggest rival but he's also my teammate and we push each other to be the best we can be.
