Draft day came and went. Man, what a hell of a ride. All of my hard work and discipline came to this. You could probably call out any human emotion and I could tell you that I felt it on that day. I had talked to a few GMs leading up to the day and had no idea what to expect. I didn't know if I'd be drafted in the first 10 or the last 10. I'd answered the questions, gone to all the workouts, networked with the players. I remembered all of the work that went into getting here and I felt at ease knowing that wherever I go, I'm going to put 110% in. My family and I were gathered around the television. There were at least 20 of us huddled around my phone and the TV. These were the people that helped me get to where I am today and I'm forever grateful. Then it happened. My phone rang. I was called at #11. I couldn't believe it. The Kansas City Coyotes had selected me at #11. My family and I were in disbelief and full of just pure happiness. The journey has begun. NSFL Record Books here I come.
