(S14) PT 2 - Game day

Morgan Marshall wakes up a bit earlier than normal on game days and goes for a quick jog in the neighborhood- a habit from his days of competing in cross-country and a welcome way to clear his mind. From there, he takes a quick shower before treating himself to a croissant filled with melted chocolate chips. Marshall gets dressed, watching a bit of pre-game film, and drives out to the stadium with plenty of time to spare, listening to a podcast about the history of World War II on his drive. For the next hour or so he listens to classic 70s rock while getting into a good mindset, then he goes and does some light warmup exercises on the field.

After that Marshall just sits in the locker room, listening to his music and and slowly getting pumped for the matchup ahead. Sometimes he’ll sit and read a history book next to his teammate Quenton Bode, and sometimes he’ll just zone out listening to the Beatles. Once it gets closer to game time, Marshall once again gets warmed up and finally suits up for the game. It’s here where Marshall starts to get fired up for the game ahead and gets into a full competitive mindset.
