Two things you didn't address though that I think are important:
1. That teams are able to trade salary cap space. So it's common for some teams to trade away cap space for picks depending on where they feel like they fall on their window of opportunity to win a championship/rebuild.
2. That teams, when trading players, often retain their salaries for the current season and even (as in the recent case with the COL/BAL trade) retain their salary for future seasons.
These can add a little more flexibility for teams that are tight on space.
And then, I fully assume that there will be talks on increasing the salary cap given all the new players. Doesn't mean anything will happen, but it'll be discussed since the salary cap number is something that is supposed to be discussed and decided on by HO each season.
