Great article! Very interesting to see the visual guide and the slow fade from purple to red...
If you want an example of bad scouting, take a peep at the S2 draft. That draft happened before the DSFL existed so every pick was based off 2 weeks of that person being around. That's how actives like Kennedy fell to extraordinarily late rounds, and players that didn't amount to much like Blade were picked very early.
Either way, I can't wait until the draft happens!

From the fifth round on, will really demonstrate a GMs scouting skills. That is an interesting point, although it's worth noting that the NSFL drafts differently. For example, I think that if the NSFL teams were picking these players off the information we had before the DSFL draft, Emondov Emoji goes first overall because an inactive doesn't help you in the NSFL. Inactives in the DSFL are fine, but when you pick 1st overall you want a member with a proven track record of max earning, which Emoji had. Also, let's not pretend like the first four rounds are guaranteed to be good picks, because #1 OA picks have busted before. Spectacularly, in fact - the first pick ever, DT JJ Reigns, went inactive shortly after the draft and bounced around the league, converted positions, and eventually retired after an irrelevant career. So the GMs may be able to easily find relatively high TPE players for a while, but getting the stars will be harder than it looks.
