1. Here is my prediction for what happens in the Ultimini... Pythons win. I think that a lot of people don't believe in the Pythons, and maybe there is some reason why. There is the disliked Leighton Lee. The guy whose predecessor was not only a villain, but ended his career hated by many across the NSFL. Then there is a guy like Gekuyeme Stokeley. The send-down, which qualifies him as a villain in some people's eyes. The guy who came back for a second season in the DSFL to crush the hopes and dreams of opposing teams. The Pythons aren't the most liked team in any regard, but they are one of the best. They have a very formidable defense with the rise of Emoji and D'voritta (or whatever). Add in guys like Ridley and Grievous and you've found yourself a team full of youth and talent. I don't know who they will have to play or the success they have had against them early in the season, but I do know that they are an extremely talented team that fears no other team. Their offense has an elite quarterback with an elite runningback to go with it. This is going to be a hard team to stop and I have them winning.
3. QB matchup? This one is honestly pretty easy. It has to involve the MVP front-runner, Franklin Armstrong, and Corco Havran. Two guys who absolutely sling the ball around. I firmly believe the Franklin Armstrong will play better in this game for a few reasons. The first being, I believe that he is surrounded by a better all-around running game and receivers. I believe this allows him to have a bigger opportunity to showcase his skills and show the world why he set the record for passing touchdowns in a season in a Pythons uniform. The second thing would be something that isn't necessarily on the quarterbacks, but the defenses they face have different reputations. The Pythons defense is one that is the stingiest in the league. They bend and they don't break, they just keep people from getting points. Not the best at forcing turnovers, but they do turn most people away from the end zone. This will be an issue for Havran, as he will struggle to move the ball on the Python secondary. Additionally, the Luchadores have a flashy defense as they get a lot of turnovers, but they will allow yards and the Pythons will have an easier time carving them up than the other way around.
6. Its our time and its that simple. The Pythons are an elite level organization and have always been a very elite one. The defense is too strong. If you look at our defense up and down, we just have start players who play sounds defense and will be going to the Pro Bowl. On the DLine, we just have a lot of guy who get after the quarterback and play good contain on the edges. This allows the linebackers of the defense to play very aggressive. We arguably have the best linebacker squad in the DSFL, which is a huge advantage. We also have an advantage when it comes to our secondary. We have an elite experienced player in Emoji as well has guys like 124715 and Ridley which allow us to play fast and to the ball defense. Toss in that we have the MVP front-runner in Franklin Armstrong on offense to go along with one of the most potent three headed monsters at running back that we have seen in a long time, and there is a recipe for success. I don't know exactly what the reputation of this team will be in the future, but I know that right now this is one of the more talented teams the DSFL has seen and they will end up winning.
8. I have no specific issue with Johnny Slothface, but I know that he is a player that is very good and plays the same position as me. He was on my coattails all season, even though I ended up besting him by 27 tackles. He had more sacks than me, but thats about all he did better than me. I feel like he is a slightly less developed version of me and I don't want him to be better, so I root for him to lose. I also believe that he can overtake me one day, so I want to be better than what he is. In addition to this, I want him to lose because we play him in the championship. There is more to a rivalry than just individual stats or what we do on the field "against each other." What I want to gain from my experience and rivalry is to win a lot of games and win championships, which is what I will have the opportunity to do against Slothface in the championship. My stats mean nothing if they are empty and don't have wins to back them up. So for this reason I need Slothface to lose because it means that I win.
9. It's funny that I even have to write about the Marshals because I honestly pity them. The thing about the San Antonio Marshals is that they were the "favorite" all year, but I don't think they have the same talent that we have. I look at their roster and I see a good, not great team. A team with a good quarterback and a decent offense, but not one with the top to bottom talent that we have. They do have an incredible quarterback in Cooter Bigsby, but I just don't like him. I know he's the biggest rival with Franklin Armstrong and I think that puts a chip on our shoulders as we play them. Morgan Marshall is a good RB, but he bares too much of the load in their backfield, whereas ours is balanced. I think as a defensive player I don't like them because they have the second best QB/RB duo and I want badly to beat them and see us crowned champions. They are also kind of loud about having a very solid regular season, one of the best ever. That means nothing though, and I want to prove that to them. The Pythons are more than that.
