I'm not used to having so much money at my disposal. Growing up my family never lived beyond their means, and my parents did a very good job teaching me the importance of saving money. Even though I'm now officially in the NSFL, and as a first round pick had an opportunity to demand a large contract, I decided to settle for the minimum to help the team. I'm not a materialistic person, and don't wish to live an extravagent lifestyle, so I chose to donate a large sum of cash to a local church. God brought me to where I am today, so that was the first place I thought of when I received my signing bonus. Along with that, I gave some money to my family as well. After that, I made sure to get a decent place in Orange County to settle in, as well as a used SUV to get to and from the stadium. I plan on saving the rest, and when I feel like I have more than I need I'll donate the excess money to the church and a local charity. I'm not sure which one yet, but I want to research a few of them and give an even amount to each. I care about the community, and I'd love to be able to help in any way I can.
