200 words, Written Option: The Offseason has come to an end an all our contracts are freshly minted. That means one thing, signing bonuses. Your player just received a large signing bonus, whether it was his first rookie contract, a newly agreed extension, or a brand new team in Free Agency. What do you plan to do with all that dough, buy a house, a car, a yacht, or in the spirit of Mother’s Day, what are you buying her? Write about how your player spends his cash.
I was extremely happy to get my new contract from New Orleans after being drafted by the Second Line. The franchise was pretty generous with my signing bonus, and I've splurged a bit on both my mom for Mother's Day, as well as myself so that I will be living more comfortable back with the Luchadores this season.
I ended up paying off the entirety of my parent's mortgage as a big Mother's Day present. They did not have a ton of money left on their loan, but I was happy to make sure they did not have to worry about it ever again. For just my mom, I also paid to have her office totally redone and refurnished so that she can work from home in style. She spends a lot of time working there so I figured she should be comfortable. I got her a brand new iMac and all new furniture.
But I also wanted to buy some nice things for myself. I moved out of the old place that I was renting and bought a luxury condo on the beach. I figured that if I was going to be here another season I should lay down some roots so that I can come back to visit even when I am playing in the NSFL. Plus the views from the condo are unreal, and they make me feel like I've finally made it as a pro. I had to buy all new furniture as well, but I made sure to get a nice recliner to sit in after games where I can drink my margaritas and beers. Gotta rehydrate of course.
Finally, I purchased a Tesla Model 3 to get around town since my new condo came with a charging port. I love not having to get gas all the time, but the carpool sticker so I can visit my parents easier is probably the best part. And it looks dope as hell.
