Alright so this question has come up for l'alto before earlier in his career and the answer is still essentially the same some 20 million dollars later. L'Alto saves his money and is a smart investor. While he sometimes sees other players (often times rookies) throwing around their money as if it had no limit, he knows better and knows that he has been given the opportunity to set his family up for success for years and years to come. but this wouldn't be possible unless he was a little smart with his money. Well, what does this look like specifically? First of all, he doesn't spend money that he doesn't. That's advice that his grandfather gave to him, but he takes it a step further--he doesn't spend money unless he really needs to. For this he creates a budget carefully with his wife, and they are honest about what their needs are. After this step, they set aside some money for treating themselves. Then he chooses what investment opportunities would be worth his time to put his money towards. He has some money in stocks and bonds and some in real estate. But he doesn't get real fancy, he's a straight 401k shooter and will get to handle that money when the day comes.
