I don't disagree, but the idea of the article is really to point out guys who didn't have the kind of standout games you're used to seeing! Having an average game doesn't mean they're bad, it just means they're on a bit of a slide. If you see a guy like JJ Watt in his prime go a full game without a TFL or sack, it doesn't mean he's a bad player or even that he's going to have a bad season. It just means that it's an off game that will raise questions on if he's slipping or not.
