I am still kind of up in the air about my costume. So I went out last weekend and got about 3 that I could choose from. The first one is a burgundy suit and some face paint so I can dress up as the Joker from the new Joker movie. The reason I was kind of hesitant about this one is the fact that I KNOW there will be THOUSANDS of people dressed up as the same thing. I know that it is hard to be original when there are so few costumes out there that people will instantly recognize and you won't have to spend forever explaining who or what you are supposed to be, but I do like to stand out a bit. I probably won't end up wearing this one, but it is good to have in case my other ideas fall flat and I want a quick and recognizable option.
My next costume is a bit more original, especially if you are above a certain age. Since I play on a team who's mascot is a snake, I figured I could pull of the COBRA Commander costume. The old school one with the blue uniform and the blue hood. I also bought the helmet with the mirrored face mask, but I am partial to the blue hood in hopes that it has more ventilation and won't get too hot. Hopefully the COBRA insignia on the hood and the uniform make it easier to recognize and achieve my goal of not having to explain the costume.
Lastly, I figured I would finally pull off the costume I have waited the longest to do. I went out and got the sumo diaper and face paint with a wig and hope to go as E. Honda from Street Fighter. He is my namesake so it would be pretty cool to pull this one off.
So I have a pretty big decision to make, but I am leaning towards E. Honda or COBRA Commander. We will see how the night goes.
