The verdict is in, the jury is unanimous: the most consistent safety in the season two draft is Isaiah McGinn. In each of his preseason outings, his presence has been sorely felt by the opposing team. In game 1, he led the Flint Sun Tropics with a crushing nine tackles and 1 pass defended. In game 2, McGinn had a solid but quieter outing. His His five tackles didn't less the squad, but he also had an interception and a pass defended. In addition to his solid start line, he's a smart and disciplined character. In both games he didn't suffer a single penalty to mar his stat line.
As an early drafted safety, he's represented himself well in eight games posing for the Baltimore Hawks. In his games against the big boys, he's crushed an average of over four tackles a game with two interceptions, one forced fumble and two passes defended. Not too shabby for someone stepping into the league after the initial draft! He is far and away the most consistent contributor to his rookie squad.
He will certainly be the first safety drafted in the forthcoming session 2 draft and will be able to contribute to whatever team is lucky enough to pick him up. GMs, make sure you take notice of this future juggernaut of the secondary.
