I'm not saying that at all. If you put actual time and thought into voting for yourself, and your player had the stats to back it up, then that's a great reason to vote for your own player.

Nothing in this post really helps. It's just an attack on the fact that a vote didn't pass. You are creating a toxic aura around the topic by responding this way. This is an ongoing process and this kind of response doesn't really achieve anything. It actively sets us back actually.
Second.
The majority of people voted for this. It just didn't pass the 70% threshold required (with two votes missing entirely). More people voted for it than did last year and just shitting on GM's (who mostly voted in favor) is both inaccurate and pointless. It also doesn't help. Pointing fingers at people who largely already support something and berating them inaccurately is not the way to get them to continue supporting it.
Third.
This isn't an insult or a sign just a simple statement of fact.
You're not the person in position to make the argument for others to stop being selfish. Even beyond how you've gone about it here, you are not the person with that credibility. Maybe one day you will have that credibility but it's not going to be this close to your placing the importance of personal stats over correct sims in a very loud and aggressive manner. Again...not a dig. Just a statement of what is.
Thanks for sharing your opinion. Sometimes aggressively bring attention to a much needed change is the only way to actually get it accomplished. You do realize I said GM's and HO members in my post. I was not directly attacking and insulting any specific individuals or GM's as a whole. Also, just saying "this isn't an insult" doesn't automatically make it not insulting, so thanks for that I guess. I could call someone a "Terrible GM and person, no insult though." That's still an insult to that person's character and position on their team.

Directly from the rulebook "Each team that does not have any required voting done by the deadline will be fined $2,500,000 in cap space. Every HO member will be fined to their bank account for the same lack of voting."
Yes, I realize this, but the current fine does nothing to actually stop them from putting no effort into voting. The awards are an honor and voting for them is a privilege, and, if that ability is not taken seriously, they shouldn't have it in the first place. They should be barred from voting and replaced with a voter selected by the GM's and HO.
