(S19) - PT2 - Back to Reality

Oh man, this is an easy one and it is definitely our week 1 loss against Philadelphia. We the Yellowknife Wraiths are coming back stronger than ever form last season, even with our tough loss in the Ultimus to the Orange County Otters. So starting off the season to one of the weaker teams of last season, the Philadelphia Liberty (who I know did improve over the offseason) and at home, it surely looked like a great way to start the season strong and with a good win. All that came pretty quickly crashing down to earth. After forcing them to punt on their first drive, Bigsby decided to fuck it and thrown an interception which allowed them to come back and score a touchdown. It was pretty back and forth for most of the game, but 4 interceptions, including a pick six from the Cooter the moonshine man really put us in a hole. In the end, the Liberty showed up more in the game and it left us with a sour taste in our mouth and with a 0-1 start to the season. Obviously we now have two wins after that game and showed why we will be a good team this season, but it still was quite a disappointment. Last year we also started with a loss, but it was against one of our toughest opponents, the Hawks and on the road. This should of been a favorable match-up at home, but we just did not show up. Let us see if next year we can start the season with a win!
