1) Playoff Predictions, Reviews:
Because I don't want to discuss our potential against Orange County, lets take a gander towards the other playoff game tonight. The Baltimore Hawks are heading to Canada to take on the Yellowknife Wraiths in a game that has become pretty routine for them. Three consecutive seasons we've seen this exact match up and the two teams are currently 1-1 against each other in that time with the tiebreaker to be played tonight. Things feel a little different though. YKW doesn't feel as dominant as they have in seasons past for no real obvious reasons. Baltimore also feels to have taken a step back and may be in need of a restructuring in the near future. Neither team really seemed to achieve the goals they set out for this season, but they've both managed to come one game away from an Ultimus shot. Personally I feel like Hawks have taken more steps back than their opposition and I think it will show come game time. I think the Wraiths completely outmatch the Hawks and with them being at home, the odds are certainly in their favor. I can't honestly see this game being overwhelmingly close and I believe YKW will show flashes of why they've been one of the scariest teams in the league lately. If you're waiting to see the Wraiths choke again, you're a couple days too early because I think they run away with this one 33 to 14.

4) Resim!
If I could resim one game this season, it would be the week four match up between New Orleans and San Jose. I strongly believe that the Second Line were the superior team this season and I think we were more than strong enough to dominate the Sabercats on the road. We were testing absurdly well and unfortunately, things simply didn't bounce our way. Given the result of the rest of the season, us managing to let that game slip from between our fingers resulted in us being second in the ASFC. In this resim, we actually dominate the Sabercats in an ending score of 35 to 14. We establish our control early and play out opposition that we should have taken care of the first time. In this alternate reality, we would be tied in head to head with Orange County. We would also be tied in conference victories. Because of our 35 points, we'd have scored two points more than the Otters which would ultimately give us the tie breaker for the ASFC. This would give us a far more viable shot in these playoffs. Instead of going on the road against arguably the strongest team in the league, they would be coming to us. In this reality, the results of tonight probably look much different.

5) Offseason Needs
This offseason the New Orleans Second Line don't have to ask Santa for much. We currently have active players at almost every position. Quarterback, both running backs, three wide receivers, our tight end, and even two offensive linemen all still earning TPE. On offense, we are absolutely stacked with active players and couldn't possibly ask for any additions there. Defensively though, it gets a bit more interesting. Heading into next season, we have actives at both defensive tackle positions, one defensive end, both linebacker positions, both safety positions, and two of our three spots at cornerback. Our one inactive in the secondary though is a fairly high TPE player sitting near 600 and we wouldn't really be looking to replace him immediately. That leaves us one hole. That hole is at defensive end. With Lo Rax retiring, he is leaving a void where we have no player at all. No active, no inactive, just a giant blank hole that we now have to look to fill. We could look to free agency and see if anyone is interesting, but it is far more likely that we look to this coming draft. There are many strong defensive linemen coming up the pipeline and while we have a later pick this season, we should have our fair selection of options by the time we're on the clock. Its one simple hole and we should have no problems plugging it.

7) Penalty box
This one is ridiculously easy. I could look around at my teammates and point fingers. I could call people dirty, I could call people crooked, I could point out every little penalty my fellow dooters make, but at the end of the day everyone in New Orleans knows who would find himself in the penalty box the most. My very own Bjørn Ironside. It is no secret that Ironside is rough around the edges. He has stated many times that his only goal is to crush the tiny man in the offensive backfield. He has built a reputation and a legend dating all the way back to his days on the Flint Sun Tropics and the prospect bowl. In his very first game of action with the Tropics, he racked up two unnecessary roughness calls and one unsportsmanlike conduct call and never looked back. During his rookie season with the Seawolves, he managed to get seven unnecessary roughness calls and four unsportsmanlike conducts on the season. He managed more penalties than sacks! That legend has followed him to the NSFL and he no longer gauges his success on tackles or sacks or even in wins. Instead he measures himself in the number of players he can send to the hospital ward before they throw him out of the game. Ironside is easily the player in New Orleans who commits the most penalties and that may never change.
