1) Playoff Predictions, Reviews
The Portland Pythons fell short the past couple of weeks and lost the home field advantage to the Minnesota Grey Ducks who are currently on a hot streak. This game is gonna come down to if the high powered Pythons offense can find themselves and put up the numbers they had earlier in the season. Or will the Grey Ducks defense be as stout as they have been majority of the year and make the stops when they need to. Now lets not forget the other side of the ball for both these teams. The Grey Ducks have a punishing run game with arguably the offensive MVP in Darrell Williams and rookie Noble Jr. While the Pythons defense has been giving up some points lately but earlier in the season were locking down teams. This game is as close as a coin toss but, one thing the Grey Ducks have that the Pythons do not is a great special team player in Silver Banana. With the home field advantage, the special teams power of Banana and the momentum the Grey Ducks have going into it. I believe they will overcome the Pythons and make it to the Ultimini. 3) Revenge
I may have not been on the team at the time but watching this game, having joined the Grey Ducks and became part of this family there is one team I want to get revenge on. The Tijuana Luchadores thoroughly thrashed us in week 8 and we were unable to do anything to stop it. Our offense could not get anything going and our defense while decent at times did not look as stout as usual. Luckily for us we may not have to wait til next season to get the revenge we desire. If we are able to get past the tough Pythons and the Luchadores are able to get past the high powered offense of the Buccaneers we would have the greatest stage for our revenge. We picked up some new talent since our last meeting (myself included) and have been going on a hot streak these past few weeks. I feel the next time we meet whether it be for the Ultimini or a regular season game next year the outcome will be different. As they say revenge is a dish best served cold and up here in Minnesota we know all about the cold. Winter is coming for you Luchadores so you better be prepared.

13) Get interviewed by a Vet
Jay: There are a lot of wide receivers in this class. What makes you stand out above the rest? How do you feel about having competition?
Kross: There are not only a lot of them but they all are great players. I think the biggest thing that will set me apart from the rest is my competitive drive and my willingness to take advice from others. I think some rookies after they get drafted get too big of an ego and that can hurt them but I am going to strive to take all the criticism I get and use it to make me a better player.
Jay: What are you looking for most in a DSFL team?
Kross: The thing I am looking for most in a DSFL team has to be a great coach. When you get to this level everyone has great talent. The best way to separate yourself from the rest is having a good coach to grow that talent into something more.
Jay: Are there any players you model your game after?
Kross: When I was first starting out I really was trying to model my game after one of the best, Alexandre LeClair. As I grew older I started to realize that if you want to be the best you can't copy someone else you have to build your own style and find out what works best for you.
Jay: The DSFL can be run-heavy at times. Does that change the way you approach the game at all?
Kross: It definitely has change my approach to the game. In the offseason I spent a lot of time in the weight room to build up my strength so I can help blocking when I need to. Not only that but when we do throw the ball I need to be strong enough to muscle through whoever is on me and make that catch for my team. It makes every opportunity count that much more.

19) OL or K/P Appreciation
If you are looking for the best kicker in the DSFL look no further than the man from Boston who currently plays for the Minnesota Grey Ducks, Silver Banana. His punting always leaves the opponents with unfavorable field position but where he truly shines is when the ball is on the ground and he is kicking it through those uprights. With that golden leg he has been a possible MVP candidate for the Minnesota Grey Ducks and the difference maker in Ultimini Finals. While the Tijuana Luchadores kicker missed 2 field goals and an extra point. Banana was perfect when it came to field goals in the finals and as for extra points, well he was perfect not only for the finals but for the whole season. He hit one extra point and three field goals from 44 yards, 26 yards and of course when the game against the Tijuana Luchadores got all tied up at 13 a piece, he stepped up and kicked the game winner from 34 yards out. Scoring 10 points on his own he was the difference maker that the Grey Ducks needed in order to pull out the win over the favored Luchadores. Silver Banana may be his name but perfection is his game.
