2) Holiday Bowl
Written: This year’s Ultimus lands right in holiday season. What changes are made to this year’s Ultimus game to reflect the time of year?
The Ultimus, and Ultimini for that matter, should ooze holiday spirit. A page can be taken from how the NBA treats the holidays and we can get each team a holiday uniform. The uniform doesn't need to be red and green or anything, just something special for the big game. That way it's memorable and those special edition uniforms would make a bit more money when it comes to fan purchasing. They're specialized and they get released right at Christmas time so they would make excellent gifts.
The coin flip can be performed by someone in a Santa Claus suit and all of the cheerleaders can dress up as elves and reindeer. Instead of red challenge flags, coaches can throw wreaths onto the field to initiate a challenge. The half time show can be a holiday music anthology sung by the likes of Mariah Carey and Michael Bublé. Instead of black and white pinstripes, the referees can wear green and red pinstripes. Before every kickoff, the kicker would need to unwrap a football that is given to him by a referee after pulling said wrapped football out of a red velvet satchel.
