1) Playoff Predictions, Reviews
The playoffs are usually one of the best times of the year. Arguably that it is the best time o the year especially when your team is one of the teams that is competing for the Ultimus. So, this year was quite a good one for us fellow Yetis. We did pretty well during the regular season making it into the playoffs and had a chance to redeem ourselves from the previous year in which we made he playoffs too, but fell short and lost in the wildcard round. Which is always a sad moment because you worked so hard to get to that moment and had all that stress to see if you will even get one of the playoff spots to even get a shot. So it does suck when you lose in the wildcard round and sadly the same thing happened to us this season. We thought we had a good chance this season. The other team just played really well and we just have to continue and learn from this moment/game and become a better team and prepare for the following season. We have a strong, young team and know that we will be back in the playoffs next season.
2) Holiday Bowl
The Holidays are here! With the Ultimus on the same week as the holiday season and the chance to bring home the ultimate gift to a team is a great time and possibly a great moment for someone's career. Anyway, the set up for the game is going to be a little different than a normal Ultimus game. There will be tons of decorations and a lot of events that will go on through out the entire game. As well as giveaways during quarter breaks, halftimes and sometimes during the television commercial breaks. The National Simulation Football League is full of joy during the holidays and obviously wants to show some appreciation to the fans that took the time out of their lives, especially during this time of year, to join us to watch the biggest game of the season. So they want to return the favor to all of the fans and show some appreciation. Anyway, other than the giveaways the stadium will have a ton of decorations like Christmas trees, some light, and will have on field designs that represent the holidays. I know not everyone will celebrate Christmas, but with the league being in the United States, that is what the league celebrates, with no ill intent toward any other holidays that other players, coaches, or fans celebrate. Anyway, during halftime when the giveaways are happening, there will be a great halftime show with some surprises from some celebrities that I will not disclose to keep the surprise going and bring up everyone's anticipation. If you want to know who, then you will need to either go or tune in to the game!
6) Recruitment
This right here is probably the most challenging. Not trying to involve other leagues in here and I am talking pretty out of my character for this, but when it comes to running a team, or even taking over one, it is not just easy going and everything will run smoothly. You need to get people involved and wanting to come back to the team, and the league of course. So the man thing to me when it comes to creating a team and to get people to stay around and keep being active is to be a very active locker room. You want players that join your team to feel included and involved in the team. Letting them know what is going on with the team, getting to know each other and just try to provide an enjoyable experience. That there will keep players interested and wanting to stick around. Trust me, with being a general manager of a team from our affiliate league, Pro Baseball Experience, that is the main focus we have. Especially to void drama on the team, you want to try and avoid any type of arguments or bring up any type of touchy subject to the players. kind of like what type of conversations you would have during a family gathering or a reunion type thing. Except the fact that you enjoy hanging around us teammates a lot more. Anyway, that will be the best way to get a team active and staying together.
16) Dynasty
I do not know how many times that I need to say this, but god damnit I will say it as many times as I need to until people know how good this Colorado Yeti team is. This team is really young when you look at the team. With a quite a bit of players only being a few seasons old while also having some veterans on the team that have been in the league for quite some time. But the main thing of the team is how young we are and we are still a very good team. We could easily be playing so much better than what our record has shown the past two seasons, but it is just our luck when it comes to the sim that something goes wrong or some hiccup happens, but then again that is something I cannot use as an excuse because that happens to every team. Just to show how well our team plays, just look at the defense. This could be seen as being full of myself, but with our defense being as good as it is, that alone makes our team a contender. Now that our offense is doing well our team honestly has a chance at the Ultimus and not just one, I am talking about plenty. Over and over winning these titles and to continue doing so.
