Ultimus Championship: Yellowknife Wraiths vs. Orange County Otters
The two best teams in the NSFL will face off for the Ultimus Trophy, and fittingly so. They were the best teams this season with identical 9-4 records. The Otters did it with a stellar defense and a high octane offense. The Wraiths had to really rely on their offense to out-score their opponents. The Otters defense ranked first in every category and that's the reason why I'm going with them in this game. Defense always seems to be the tipping point, especially in the playoffs, and I think their defense coupled with an offense that can match Yellowknife's, this is Orange County's game to lose. The saving grace for Yellowknife could be home field advantage, and they did beat the Otters at home this season, but I think now that the Otters defense has seen this team, they will make the proper adjustments. Orange County wins 27-17.
Ultimini Championship: Tijuana Luchadores vs. Minnesota Grey Ducks
This is Tijuana's game to lose, once again. They beat the second best team in the DSFL, Myrtle Beach, in the SFC Championship and carry home field advantage in the final game. They have a balanced attack, playing well on both sides of the ball. Minnesota had a good season, but I don't think they have the offense to keep up with Tijuana. In the two match-ups in the regular season, Tijuana went 2-0 with a combined score of 50-12. Tijuana wins 27-7.
