Let me break this down for you:
- You received this sort of response because you don't understand that even though you are going after the player, the decision was still made by the user and any attack on the player is still an attack on the user's decision, whether you mean for it to be or not. There were a few lines in particular that went too far, even against a fictional player, and responding to the first negative responses to you in the way that you did didn't help your case. If your words are hurtful to someone then it doesn't matter what your intention was.
- Your thread was not locked because of your article, but because the thread was becoming hostile. We locked the thread because this generates a negative attitude around the league and creates an atmosphere detrimental to our userbase.
- You don't have to be remorseful, or even apologize, nobody can force you too. But when you see a response such as this, you drop it and forget about it. LET IT GO. It is becoming quite clear that you are not trying to 'smooth things over' with everyone or make them understand, you want more attention.
I'm not asking you to stop writing articles. If you want to be contrarian or 'stir the pot' then by all means, do so, but don't be surprised if some people don't take it as well as others. What I am asking you to do is to stop doubling down when people take it negatively, just drop it and accept the fact that people will react in various different ways. Most importantly, when we deem a thread is getting out of hand, do not circumvent it by creating another post about it. Like I said, let it go. If you continue on this subject, we will be forced to take further action. Consider this a warning.
Since this thread is a response to a media post that was only posted because that thread was locked, we will be moving it away from media and you will not be graded for it. Locking the post - this discussion is over and no further responses are necessary.
