Bex Punishment and NOLA Tampering Accusations

Ok, so now it’s my turn to speak. I’d like to start by saying that what I’m about to write is my own opinion and does not reflect the opinions of the Outlaws locker room, as far as I know.

I have zero problems with either Bex, Isa or TH. We don’t talk everyday on discord, we’re not on the same team, we do not share a secret channel to trash people, but we got along on the few interactions we had, Bex and Isa are fellow S18ers, so I’d like to think that I can give my opinion starting from a pretty neutral point. And I know very well how hard the 3 of them work for the game and helped it become what it is now.

Little did I know that a few weeks back when I asked Bex for a secret channel on discord I was not making a simple joke, but hitting the nail on the head? That’s pretty funny, I bet you laughed a lot with your mates there when you read that.

I’ve seen people here excusing Bex, with amazing things like “we all vent to our friends” or “DD took things out of context”. Well, while I do vent to friends sometimes, I never once told any of them that I would like to invite someone to my house and have another friend beat them. Have you? And how does something like that gets taken out of context? For me, that’s definitely not venting and while I don’t think she really wanted to do that (that’s not the question here), it shows something that Bex had not showed before and for me, along with other ridiculous messages she wrote, shows that she is unfit to be a commissioner because she can’t maintain her distance all the time. She showed a clear predisposition and desire to harm (in game) some users when given a chance, and although she could not be able to do it due to other members of HO, she could try.
While I completely trust other members of HO, can you assure me that every decision that HO took regarding the game after Bex got the job was in the games best interest? Or did Bex try to push something that would benefit her and NOLA? Because after what I saw on those images, I sure as hell can’t be sure of anything.

Now, I don’t like when people think I’m stupid. I might be one, but I still don’t like that people think of me as one. And that’s the clear idea I get from the tampering situation. We might not have clear evidence that it happened, but we have evidence. And the excuse is that TH copy pasted a message from DD? That’s laughable. So, you have Bex, Isa and TH on a channel for at least a season, where Bex was thrashing SJS (and a lot of other people) on a daily basis and you’re telling me that they did not tell her to join even once? (lol)Sure sure… And when impartial members of HO ask her for the messages, she conveniently erases 3 messages… (lol2) And what comes up about that is that she did it to cover up a joke by TH. Well, to be fair, they did not have that much time to think about something believable to cover that, but I feel the secret channel should have brainstormed harder. So, no punishment there, ok.(lol3)
And the best part is that even now they refuse to acknowledge what they did. Posts with excuses, apologies, etc etc etc, when they could do the right stuff and admit to it, get the punishment and it would be done, move on. Instead, after all this shit, they are still trying to give us all a certificate of stupidity to add up to stuff. Make god damn tampering legal, who cares if I speak with people i know to get them to my team while on a contract? We all know it happens, who cares?

Bex jumped on a grenade to save NOLA, how very noble of her. But yeah, don’t think that everyone bought that, please. And to think that people were being punished for tampering… while an HO member was participating in such.


Btw, so that I do not forget, kudos to Boom, he got roasted by many because of his take on Bex, and it seems like he got some things right after all. Fantastic.

This league is now tainted, for me at least. Some people joined a secret channel, 3 from the same team, and imo tried to influence opinions and decisions to their gain. I have no idea how many decisions were made while she was in HO, but there’s no way to know if she was being impartial or just getting info/feedback from her teammates and pushing for stuff that would help them. You can say that she had no influence at all, but there’s absolutely no way to guarantee it. And as long as she stays there, every time a decision is made, I will wonder if she participated in it and if she did, did she have the leagues best interests in mind or just her own? Or only the teams of the users on that channel? Hell, how do we know that she got the job by her own merits and not because someone on that channel pushed it to others?

I also understand people getting upset with DD about leaking the messages, but on the other hand, if he didn’t, the channel would still exist and they would still be there “venting” (lol3) and deciding on league stuff to benefit their agenda. For me, the apologies sounded more like “sorry I got caught” than repentance. Make of that what you will, it’s only my opinion, but if those messages were not leaked, she would still be there doing the same thing. Getting all amicable to the face and going right to the secret channel to shit on people.

Again, I do know that Bex did and spent a lot of time on this and people are rarely grateful. But once something like this occurs her credibility is now shot and will never recover. I’m not intending to leave the game any time soon, so the fact that she stays or not in HO does not matter for that. But if I ever get punished for something here, I will definitely never accept it while she is in HO. Someone who did something against the rules, her team did not own up to it and found ridiculous reasons to escape punishment, and she is now involved on a decision punishing me? Good luck with that. Every decision she partakes from now on, will leave people wondering about her intentions.

Se deeply cares about the league, I know that. I also know she works hard as hell. But she should have been more careful. And we have only seen a few of the messages, I can only wonder what was there in the first place. I am disappointed with her and Isa tbh (and TH, and woelkers, and Hall, and DD), what’s the point on enabling the amount of hate we’ve all seen there while trying to get people excited about the game?

Let's not give Boom too much credit here tho. Boom writes to write. He stirs shit to stir it. A blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then. I don't agree with the hate he got, but he ain't some saint or anything. Just a guy who wrote and article on an interesting topic.

I hate to have you disappointed in me Cue because I like you a lot, but I don't agree with your opinion. I know, a NOLA player not agreeing with this type of take. I'm here to shock you! I kid. Anyway, some of that maybe the fact I didn't go to that server and see those screenshots, and that seems to have shaped your opinion a lot. I think the biggest thing from your post was about HO decisions. What all was done that would help NOLA via an HO decision? Maybe that is unclear to me. All things go through HO though so potentially a lot. I suppose its the unknown of it that taints it for a lot of people. Closed door HO meetings and all. Not saying your feelings are wrong; just I understand them. I just don't share them.

That said there was some missteps from my teammates. You can't deny that. No one smells like a daisy here.

Most I had go through HO was my gfx grading rubric and submission rules and HO didn't cave to my demands! The assholes!
