When you talk about recognizing two of my Yellowknife Wraith teammates for awards this season two guys come to mind: RB Mathias Hanyadi and LB Danny Grithead. Mathias is an absolute stud out of the backfield for us and definitely deserves consideration for offensive player of the year. The guy currently third in the league in rushing but has about 50 carries less than the two cats above him on the leaderboard. He also has more TDs on the ground than either of the guys ahead of him and has put in work through the air as well racking up just under 400 yards and 4 TDs. On the defensive side of the ball Grithead is as dominant as ever from the LB position. He currently sits second in the league in sacks and is consistently a game breaker in the middle of the field. The guy has racked up 77 tackles and is also very active in the passing game while managing to snag an INT and knocking down 7 passes which is more than some of the DBs in this league. The guys are both also fantastic teammates and even if they are over looked for awards this year they will still be in strong consideration for my favourite teammates <3.
