I love my team. The Coyotes have been a fun team to play on, and while the wins might not be rolling in, we keep moving forward and improving. Our defense has been fun to watch. We’ve seen incredibly impressive seasons from my teammates. Quaid with over 120 tackles, three forced fumbles, 2 fumbles recovered, and a pick. Chip Otle getting to the quarterback in the backfield 6 times. These are just a few of the highlights of our defense. However, as much as I love my teammates, it wouldn’t be a fair assessment if I didn’t give a shoutout to a competitor of mine, Inspectah Deck.
It’s pretty simple. Game recognizes game. And Deck’s got game. The presence that he has had on the field is undeniable. He’s gotten to the quarterback 14 times so far this season, 5 more times than anyone else in the DSFL, including 4 in one game. If that weren’t impressive enough, he’s also tied for 4th in PDs among players outside of the secondary and leads all non-defensive linemen in TFLs.
While I’d be happy to see any of my fellow Coyotes contending for Defensive PotY (and I think we have some contenders), it’s impossible to deny that offenses take notice when they see Deck lined up on the other side of the field, and he has made the best of his opportunities this season, not only when getting to the backfield and being a prolific pass rusher, but also when dropping back into coverage.
