I’ll say it right here and right now, Frost and Cory better get some damn good recognition for GMs of The Year. Yes they may be coming off seasons where they had already won the prestigious award, yes there is another team in their division that made the playoffs in their first season as an expansion team which is impressive but Frost and Cory had a season in which their team went 12-2 after replacing the league’s MVP, losing their QB and only getting a handful of returnees (1 would be IA, the other was at 50 TPE). They hands down had the best draft in terms of TPE/pick and have also been instrumental in developing a safe and fun environment for rookies to spend time while they learn more about the game and improving on a week by week basis. The two have also had to deal with outside bullshit given by other alumni and have always defended their players, regularly going beyond protocol and although it’s something that will not show up on the stats pages or any leaderboards, it is something that means a lot to me as a player and says a lot about the culture/family they have been trying to build in Myrtle Beach, dating all the way back to Hall’s time as a GM. At the end of the day, I think the both of them are fantastic GMs and even better people and they better get some recognition for the GMoTY award or there will be riots
