8. Souting Report
Johnny Hellzapoppin is an enticing prospect out of Notre Dame. A safety with slot coverage ability, he's versatile and not afraid to put his body on the line. He set records at the collegiate level for interceptions and if he can adjust to the pace of the DSFL and in turn the NSFL he will be a guy Quarterbacks don't want to see reading them. He has elite instincts but they're paired with a good football IQ, his position coaches spoke very highly of him and those character qualities will help him continue to develop and learn.
In terms of his weaknesses, he'll obviously need to continue to develop physically and technically to match the stars of the NSFL. His sophmore year injury may be a concern for some general managers even though he bounced back well the following year. He was used as a surprise blitzer in the Irish defensive scheme but needs to keep a cool head when he gets into the backfield and focus on bringing down the Quarterback.
Aside from his abilities as a safety he also brings good ability on special teams where he was an extremely effective gunner on punts and charged down a field goal from the edge on one occasion.
