3) Revenge
Written: Write 200 words about a team you’d like to get revenge on next season and why. Did they knock you out of the playoffs? Blow you out?
I'd really like for the Arizona Outlaws to claim our revenge on the Orange County Otters and the New Orleans Second line. These teams both entered the playoffs this season with a record of 7-6, and while there's nothing wrong with that in itself, it meant that another team with the same record didn't make it into the playoffs due to the sim's rules around tiebreakers. That team just so happened to be the Arizona Outlaws, and as we sit on the outside looking in during this postseason, thoughts inevitably start to go forward and look at the possibility of us getting revenge and forcing our way into the playoffs next season. In the ASFC currently there's a bit of a logjam in the middle. With the Austin Copperheads looking poised to establish themselves as the pride of the conference for the next couple seasons, there's something of a dogfight going on between the Otters, the Outlaws and the Second Line to follow them into the playoffs. While we fell short this year, I'm confident our young team led by a future Hall of Famer in Jay Cue has what it takes to come back strong next season and make a statement.

6) Expansion
Written: There have been a lot of new players entering the league recently. If you were in charge of a new expansion team for the NSFL or DSFL, how would you go about it?
If I were to get an expansion GM job in the NSFL, there's a few things that would need to be established straight away. I think the main focus first of all would be nailing the team location and the brand. It's very important for the initial reaction to the team to be positive, and to that there'd need to be a lot of effort placed into making sure it is recognisable and attractive. Then, the focus would be on installing an experienced co-GM to help me run the ship. Someone who has a proven track record of success in management in either the NSFL or DSFL would be required, and together we'd be able to bounce ideas off each other and help make the initial moves required for long term team success. Then, the focus goes onto getting quality players. In my first draft as GM I'd be looking to select the kind of player who can become the face of the franchise - easier said than done, but I think it's important for a team to find its identity early on and set a strong foundation for it to build off. Hopefully from there, we'd go into with a chance at giving a strong first impression in the team's inaugural season in the league, and go onto long term success.

8) Scouting Report
Written: Write a scouting report for one of the incoming draftees in either the NSFL or DSFL.
I'm going to talk to you today about Leon McDavid; Myrtle Beach Buccaneer and impending draftee into the NSFL. Although very early in his career, McDavid has the makings of a complete tight end at the professional level already. He's a talented athlete, possessing good natural speed and a safe pair of hands, paired with considerable strength that he can apply when it comes to both making catches and blocks. Comfortable running short outlet routes and making bigger plays downfield, it looks as if he'll make for a useful receiver for any team that decides to draft him. Although he has shown some natural ability when it comes to blocking, this would probably be the area of his game that needs to be developed the most. On a couple of plays earlier in the season he missed his block and allowed defenders a clear shot at his running back in the backfield, and additionally, there's been occasions where big plays downfield haven't been able to break because McDavid's not been there to make the stop. It's likely this that saw him line up at wide receiver for the majority of the season, making use of his height, speed and strength out wide while he develops his block game. On the whole though, McDavid is a very exciting prospect and someone who we should all be keeping an eye on ahead of the draft.

9) Brotherly Love
Written: We always talk about what teams and players are our rivals. This season, give me what team or player you have a soft spot for.
I have a soft spot for the Orange County Otters. This may not be the most popular opinion given my position on a conference rival of theirs, but, there's a number of reasons why I just can't hate them as some do. The first reason is I love a winning team. The Otters are the Patriots of the NSFL, winning 8 of the league's 20 Ultimus trophies, a quite outstanding statistic. They've found the formula to success with various incarnations of their team, and to try and deny their standard of excellence in that regard would be unreasonable. Beyond that, the quality of members they have on their team is seriously impressive. They've got some great guys (Kacey Dream chief among them) on the roster, and with the possible first overall selection of Prince Vegeta, the member quality on their team is an undeniable strength. Lastly, I love the branding of the team. I think the orange colour scheme is a powerful look, the logo they use looks great, and the Orange County location for a team is really cool in my mind. All in all, they're a team that I've thought is pretty cool throughout my time here - with the quality of members on their team I don't see that changing any time soon.
