3. Revenge
A team that I would love to get revenge on, hell, I know for a fact that the whole team that I am on would love to get revenge on, would be the Minnesota Grey Ducks. They knocked out the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers out of the Ultimini this season, and I really believe that most of that was because of Home Field Advantage. I truly believe in this team here in Myrtle Beach and I’d bet for a fact that this was one of the most active, strong units I’ve ever seen in my time in this league. We were hurt, betrayed by the sim engine we love so much, because of home field advantage. Myrtle Beach should have beaten Minnesota, and hopefully throughout the next season, Myrtle Beach will show their dominance all around by continuing the strength and family like values the team shows. Myrtle Beach had hands down the best Defense this season, and hell, one of the best defenses ever in the DSFL and were dismantled by Minnesota’s offense. Home Field Advantage really does happen, and it was sad to see such a hard battle thrown away like it was nothing, since we had to go to Minnesota.

6. Expansion
If I was to make another expansion team, I have a few ideas in mind. I would go straight to Head Office with some of these ideas. I would want to make a new team and move them to Honolulu Kings, or Honolulu Tsunami. The Tsunami logo would, obviously be a wave, colored potentially Dark Blue and White, with Tsunami underneath it. The Kings Logo would be a lighter green then what San Jose has, to go with either a purple, or dark brown color, to make the logo pop. It would be a crown. I think that both teams could be fun to Manage, and I think Honolulu would be an awesome concept. Honestly, if we have a team up in Yellowknife (no offense to Yellowknife), then why the hell can’t we have a team out in Hawaii? I would love to make this happen, and hopefully would have a great Co-GM in my mind already. I would build my team to contend now and for the future, by going for older players in the expansion draft that still had a few years left in them and attempt to make some big move plays with my draft picks as well. Clearly, that’s what everyone would say, but hey, I can’t give away all my secrets.

8. Scouting Report
One Player that teams need to take a good, hard look at is no further then John “Tripod” Smirh. Since he has joined the league, he has kicked 30/31 on Extra Points, good for the best Exta Point % in the DSFL this past season at 96.8%. He kicked 24/29 from the Field, which is 3rd best at 82.8%. That really does hurt a bit, but something else that John has done that people haven’t really noticed as he has flown under the radar, is been around every week for every training opportunity that there is. John has missed nothing thus far, and yeah, there are other kickers and players with more Training Time then John, but that is also because of when they came into the league versus when John did. John has been dominating the Training Times and has continued to shine throughout the season. He has a lot on his plate, and he believes that he can become the best kicker the league has ever seen. With some trust from whatever team takes him, look for John to continue to bring his all to the team and work to set records for years to come in whatever team he goes to.

10. Reform
The league is run okay right now, but there are a few things I would try to implement if I was to run the league. First, I would start looking into another sim to attempt to make the game better, if it be a newer version of DDSPF or what have you, but it wouldn’t be a bad idea to investigate. Next, I would incentivize filling some of the job positions, and attempt to bring more of the new guys into the ropes with some of these jobs. There is no reason for it to take all season for some PTs / Trivia to get graded. I would then put the Wiki on the back burner, while it is a nice thing to have for the league, player retention and forum updates are a higher priority in my mind. I would also make the DSFL as important as the NSFL, and make sure that the rules are in place for both, and continually updated for both. DSFL is where all the new players first go, and if they do not have a great time and / or there are some things happening with the DSFL that they do not like, there goes the new blood.
