Rivalry
If there is one rivalry that has come to define me as an athlete and even as a person, it would be my ongoing blood feud with the coward and lech who presently goes by the name ‘Jon Bois’. Though I am sure he has slandered and maligned me in some historically inaccurate retelling of our past, the truth of the matter is that I am the true victim of this relationship. We first met in the annual Earth/Moon high school championship game, wherein the best lunar and terrestrial teams would meet on the grid iron to scrap for the illustrious ‘ECLIPSE CUP.’ We locked eyes from opposing sidelines, and though we both played defense, it was clear from that first moment that we were from then on battling each other for true supremacy. I won’t now get into the details of this first meeting, but it suffices to say it was not pleasant for either team. We would then meet again ocassionally in college ball, me playing for the glorious Iowa State Cyclones and he for the foolish NC State puppypack. Imagine my surprise, then, when on draft day I see his name called just after mine. It was a delight to best his team several times in our rookie DSFL seasons, and I cannot wait to further humiliate and embarrass this mistake of an individual moving forward as my career begins to blossom and his starts to wild.
