Myrtle Beach DID receive 2 votes for GMotY, as did Portland and Norfolk. Minnesota was by far the winner with 7 votes.
If you look at the awards slide, you will see that Myrtle Beach is also listed as having received votes. As for why they didn't make the screen - my magic spreadsheet (for some reason) sorted them to last of the 3 way tie for second place, and therefore they were relegated to "Also received votes" - so come after my head for that, not the awards committee or the voters.
That's fair but again therein lies the problem. Why is the voting committee picking from everyone? I'm not going after anyone's head I am a very analytical person I need to understand things. The voting committee should be picking from 3 people that are nominated based on nothing else but stats. If the committee wants to vote for so and so because of a story or because of intangibles that's their right but the nominations should at least be consistant and based on stats
