*In Memoriam: Marc Spector

I've been thinking about it all day and while this league has always been filled with controversy and drama, Spector was one of those guys who was never involved. And he was always accommodating to everyone. When I decided that my GM character was going to be a woman, he rolled up right next to me with his own female GM character. It was such a small thing like that that was really incredible to me. And when I fired him for what in the end were my own mistakes, he took it in stride and forgave me for it.

I don't know who he was outside of this league, but we've seen time and time again that there are people who sometimes use the anonymity of the internet to be assholes here and Spector was someone who refused to do so. It's so rare to find someone like him and it's truly sad that he's gone. Funerals and eulogies are for the living, so I guess I hope that Westy and everyone else in Spector's life find comfort in knowing that no matter how small, no matter how obscure of a difference he made to our lives, he made a positive difference for the people he came in contact with in his life.

I remember during the times I'd play on voice chat, he said one of his favorite bands was REM and I might be wrong, but I think he said this was his favorite song from them. Even if it isn't, I'm sure he'd enjoy it just the same:
