What's interesting is S3 and beyond  . It's the win-now vs. the rebuild.

The argument isn't that we are taking two different approaches, it's that making these trades prior to expansion draft diluted the expansion draft to the point where it's a meaningless exercise in picking inactive players. They could have made all these trades after the expansion draft, however made the conscious decision to undermine the expansion draft, and the leagues intent, to make these trades prior to the expansion draft.
