Not a fan of public drama I'll be honest. That being said it sounds like you guys need a proper analyst/numbers guy to break things down past the basic concepts like "rebuild" and "win now." You guys need to have quantified values for each of this concepts and weigh them a lot more objectively than it sounds like you are. Also, in a league with very predictable results in terms of regression, planning for a window is a lot more feasible than it is in actual football. I don't think the "win now" approach works at all against teams that have carefully planned their window and their roster such as NOLA. You're pretty much just hoping to get sim lucky instead of building a team the proper way (in my opinion!). A happy medium might be building a team that always has a chance, every year. Either way, let me know if you guys want any help on the numbers front.
