The NSFL hall of fame is sparse of true Defensive End talent, with only Fuego Wozy as a true Defensive End in the Hall. So, the real question is, why is 2 time MVP and Defensive Player of the Year, 3 time DE of the year, all time leader for tackles for loss and 4th on the all-time sack list, Jayce Tuck not in the Hall of fame?
From the very start of the league he was a force to be reckoned with for the Arizona outlaws winning DE of the year his first 3 seasons he was with the Outlaws and MVP twice, being one of the only 2 defensive players to win an individual MVP award. This in addition to leading the Outlaws to the first 3 Ultimus Championships in the league’s history. Following on from his time from Arizona he moved to Yellowknife where he won another Ultimus in S8 to cap an illustrious career. While his year in New Orleans was not quite as successful, it was another Ultimus appearance and proof that Tuck was a true competitor and elevated every team he played for.
His 106 sacks places him in elite company in 4th all time, with Hall of Fame talent surrounding him, and his 113 TFL is a full 15 above second place in Hall of Famer Fuego Wozy. In week 6 of S4 he made 7 TFL in a single game which is a record that stands to this day. But somehow, he was snubbed in the 2026 Hall of fame induction with only 6/13 votes. When looking back at older players who should be in the hall, Tuck seems an obvious choice as one of the original terrors of the Defensive End position.
