Today, I would like to welcome you all to one of the biggest and beefiest announcements in the history of the National Simulation Football League. The announcement of my proposal for the newest and greatest expansion team in the history of the league. I would like to formally introduce you to the Shanghai Great Walls.
The survival and growth of the league is imperative to its survival. The best way to circumvent this is to grow internationally and expand our boarders into new countries and new continents. China is absolutely the best option for this as there is the opportunity in terms of interest in the sport and economics due to the large financial backers behind this bid. With this reasoning, it is evidently clear that the Shanghai Great Walls are the best option for introduction into the S22 National Simulation Football League season.
Besides a great location and backers, this expansion bid is built on an ideology. A specific ideology which is unseen in other teams in the league. We are of the belief that a human offensive line is the most important part of the team and is our primary focus when it comes to building this team. This team are firm believers of delivering fair rubs. Another part of the team is to provide fair rub services to all players with our extensive team branded ‘massage’ operations. We aim to become the Fair Rub Club. This team is planning on being built through being dominate in the trenches to better utilise star role players on offence and defence. Developing the trenches allows us to build our brand.
Another benefit of choosing this expansion bid is that we have government assistance in developing this team and building infrastructure if we require it. I can absolutely promise with one hundred percent certainty that each and every game at our stadium will be full of cheering, excited and fearful fans. It will be a great environment to play in and a hopefully daunting challenge for visiting teams to overcome.
Alongside myself, I would to formally introduce our celebrity face to this expansion bid, Mr. Tom Sofa. Mr. Sofa puts an instantly recognisable face to this expansion bid and gives is the credibility it needs to succeed in its plans on joining the NSFL. Mr. Sofa has been flying to China recently investigating current facilities and stadium options as well as potential sites for our state-of-the-art stadium which will be constructed on our successful entry into the competition. There are numerous sites in Shanghai as well as Wuhan that Mr. Sofa has personally visited in order to show the league the potential this bid has. Also, there is absolutely no chance that Mr. Sofa has contracted his recent virus from his trips to Wuhan. It is impossible!
Below is the first draft of the logo for our fabulous new expansion team. It features the Great Wall of China, our team’s namesake. It is not a final logo which will need to incorporate our team colours into it. The primary colours are red and yellow akin to the national flag of China which will fly proudly at the top of our stadium right next to our team’s logo.

The team also has a mascot! Let me introduce you to Zúqiú [Pronounced zoo-choo]. That is the mandarin word for football. Zúqiú is a giant panda who wear a Great Walls jersey when she is doing promotional appearances or is conversing the sideline mingling with all the die-hard Great Walls fans and making child’s days. Below is an attached photo of Zúqiú without her Great Walls jersey which hasn’t been finalised design wise.

The team has already generated a ton of sponsorship deals waiting for the introduction of this team into the National Simulation Football League. Examples include:
- Our Main sponsor Ali Baba. One of the biggest companies in China whose founder Jack Ma is one of the biggest supporters of this franchise. The economic benefit of this sponsorship will be league wide with a potential merchandise deal in play to benefit all teams.
- Our secondary sponsor, the Chinese Communist Party [CCP]. This is another main supporter of the franchise and we would be absolutely headless and stupid if we did not incorporate them into our jersey.
- Our motoring company sponsor, Great Wall. This Chinese car manufacture company knew they had to sign up as soon as they saw our team name. They aren’t paying us to, but it was part of our agreement not to be sued over the name. Go Great Wall!
- Our food company sponsor, the International House of Pancakes. As soon as they found out about our ideology, they knew they had to be a part of the fair rub club. With their unannounced potential expansion into Asia confirmed, they are looking to get a start in the region by sponsoring the greatest American Football team in Asia.
- Our sporting partner, The National Basketball Association. This global basketball league which features 29 teams is a major sponsor and partner in China. They are attempting to fix their image in china after an unknown incident occurred.
- Our fast food partner, Yum! Foods. The recently vast expansion into China of their various restraints including Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and Kentucky Fried Chicken are replicated in the various logos of their brands all over the uniform of the Great Wall players. There is also a special campaign with the future players in development over the newest product at Kentucky Fried Chicken China which is the delicious and juicy deep-fried bat.
- Our medical mask sponsor, Prestige Ameritech. This company will be primarily featured on our facemasks which will look like and act like medical ones. They are sending us branded masks free of charge for our players to not get any lung diseases or infections from the ‘beautiful, fabulous fresh air’ in China.
Finally, I will talk about myself. I haven’t been around the league long but when I got the call to be the potential General Manager of this football club, I couldn’t resist the opportunity. It may be a daunting road but I ready for any opportunity. The first step in my future is to determine a co-general manager to help me through the rings of fire up ahead.
Looking at all this information it is abundantly clear that the Shanghai Great Walls have everything behind them that they require for entry into the National Simulation Football league and with myself at the helm, you are looking at the potential next ‘Qing’ dynasty in the league.
Go Great Walls!
