30. (S1) DE - Jason Spearhead || New Entry -
@BasedPooter
Average Grade: 34
Spearhead opens up the third segment on of our list full steam. This defensive end rolled into the season as a brand new player to the simulation community but has become an integral part of the system. His recent development may have faltered, but Spearhead's statistical output doesn't show it in the slightest. Spearhead had a dominant season for the Wraiths this year, posting 52 tackles, recording 10 sacks, and forcing the opponent to fumble the ball twice. Should he continue down this path he'll be a monster on the defensive line for years to come.
29. (S1) WR - Damian West || New Entry -
@GoodLeftUndone
Average Grade: 33
West is an absolutely wonderful wide receiver who broke into the league this season in full force. He came out swords swinging and pre-season and carried the momentum right up to the end of the season. Despite the Baltimore Hawks failing to qualify for the playoffs, West still managed to put up some pretty respectable stats, especially for a player on a losing team. West passed the 1000 yard threshold this year, smashing into the Top 5 in receiving yards. On top of this he managed to contribute four touchdowns to his team, something that likely kept Baltimore from performing even worse this year.
28. (S1) DE - Adamle Tomlinson || New Entry -
@Jbearly
Average Grade: 32.75
Tomlinson is the first real big profile player to be ranked on our list. Selected 12th overall as the last selection of the second round by the Orange County Otters, this defensive end has taken on a big leadership role for his team this year. His style of play where team means everything is displayed openly on the field, and he loves to show off his team pride. This season, Tomlinson recorded 42 tackles, commonly celebrated with a large roar. On top of these tackles, A.T was able to post 10 sacks, a great number and something that really sets him apart from the competition. Should he grow and develop in Orange County, he should have no trouble being a full time superstar.
27. (S1) LB - Lindarius Shelton || New Entry -
@EvanR123
Average Grade: 31.5
Shelton is another very well known player, and mostly got his fame from partaking in the legendary pre-draft podcast. This league activism is likely what caused him to be taken 11th overall (one pick ahead of 28th ranked Tomlinson) by the Yellowknife Wraiths. Shelton didn't let his team down this year, exploding onto the defensive scene in full force to take the league by storm. Shelton doesn't get the recognition he deserves for the great season he had this year, as he took 118 tackles (good for 4th in the league), a sack, and all while forcing three fumbles and recovering one. This is a guy that teams are definitely regretting not selecting.
26. (S1) LB - Brady Stropko || New Entry -
@Bushito
Average Grade: 31.25
Stropko started his youthful career with the Arizona Outlaws and stayed with them right until the end where they took the Ultimus Cup for the first time over the Colorado Yeti. Shortly after their championship winning game, Stropko was dealt to the expansion Las Vegas Legion in the biggest trade the league has seen to this date. In Las Vegas he hopes to provide the same dynamic and explosive defense that he did for Arizona this season. Stropko posted 113 tackles on the year, and had a massive nine sacks. His ability to rush the line, overpowering and overwhelming offensive line man is what made him such a top talent this season in Arizona.
25. (S1) DT - Bert Metas || New Entry -
@Bertiswho
Average Grade: 30.5
Bert Metas surprised many this season with his incredible play and workmanship considering he was drafted in the later round of this inaugural draft by the San Jose Sabercats. His play on the defensive line was absolutely outstanding, and the most you can about Metas is that his style of play is something unseen in other defensive tackles in this league. Metas made 55 tackles on the season, but his more impressive stat was his eleven sacks, which kept the Sabercats from totally running into the ground this year. On top of these two stats, he added a fumble forced, and was well known around the league for scrambling the opponents back line.
24. (S1) WR - Bradley Westfield || New Entry -
@Bwestfield
Average Grade: 30.25
Westfield was one of the top wide receivers league wide this season, and played top minutes in Orange County all year long. His continued devlopment made him into an athletic star, and his larger undertakings in league wide events made him a hit with social media gurus and the finest of the NSFL's critics. Westfield is a prime example of natural talent, earning just under 1000 yards on the season for the Orange County Otters, along with 8 touchdowns and an average distance of over 16 yards. If he keeps it up, he'll be the receiver every team in the league is vying for in no time, and that's a pretty sweet spot to be.
23. (S1) LB - Harrif Ernston || New Entry -
@Valtookan
Average Grade: 27.75
Ernston clocks in high on the inaugural draft list for a couple of reasons. Ernston not only posted fantastic statistics this season, he also provided a terrifying presence on the defensive line that made opposing lineman shake in their shoes. Ernston put up some of the extremely solid stats this season, providing his team with 85 tackles in what will likely be the physical season that sets the bar for him. On top of this he was a tank, knocking loose three balls and recovering all three of them. Twelve sacks also made their way onto his repertoire, strengthened by an interception whilst on the line. The best players are the ones who do not rely on what stat alone to compete, but rather a multitude.
22. (S1) WR - Bailey Cook || New Entry -
@RainDelay
Average Grade: 27
Cook was by far the top receiver for San Jose this season, and finished easily in the Top 5 league wide. His dominant ability to find the open lane and make room on the field for the catches that really matter is what made him into the dominant player he was at the end of the season. Football knowledge is a key factor in Cook's game, as he searches the field for any slot he can find where either Christ or Hunt could find him this season. Posting 1062 passing yards on the year and 4 touchdowns with an average yards per carry of 14.8, this is a man to be reckoned with and someone opposing GM's will need to find a way to contain before he runs away with the game next season.
21. (S1) RB - Vick Bowers Jr. || New Entry -
@Bengals1Fan
Average Grade: 26.75
Bowers opened the season with a bang, flying right into the top of the draft rankings and being selected by the San Jose Sabercats. His pairing with Bailey Cook (ranked 22nd) made a dynamic duo that was unstoppable all season long, and was the main reason for the Sabercats not falling into complete disaster. With the best season by an ASFC running back, Bowers exploded onto the scene earning just over 1000 yards and scoring two touchdowns for the Sabercats. While his highest rush of the season was under twenty yards, it was quality over quantity for this youngster as he battered the opposing line with rush after rush all season long.
