If the NSFL was to decide that suspending the season was the best option for the health of the players, coaches, office staff, and fans, then there would be a lot of sad individuals looking wistfully at empty stadiums around the world. I suppose we as the players would have to be responsible to keep ourselves in tip-top condition just in case the season was to re-open suddenly. Since I’m in Myrtle Beach, I suppose I could run on the beach to work on my stamina and strength. Both of which are lacking at this moment. As a team we could try to help the community by grocery shopping for vulnerable locals who would be ill advised to go out into the public. Or allowing those who do not have a shelter to live in, to use the stadium as a place to be safe and clean. I personally would feel very disappointed that my rookie season was cut short but for the sake of my community who supports this team, I would do whatever I could minimize the spread of this potentially catastrophic disease. Looking long term, I hope this will just be a very short asterisk in my very long and prolific stat column.
