In the inaugural season for the expansion London Royals the framework was set to build a championship team down the road. Nobody expected the team to compete for a championship this year although I still feel that we surpassed all expectations. The culture in the locker room was set through a great group of guys. Starting with the team management and the defensive and offensive captains all the way down to each individual player. The positivity in the locker room was contagious and everybody wanted to do their best for each other. Well we all would have liked to have won more games we can be proud of having five wins this season. I'm completely confident that within a few years the London Royals will be competing for the championship. On the defensive side of the ball linebacker De Ville showed us what it meant to play on defense both on and off the field. His contribution through media and leading our team in tackles and being probably the defensive player of the year made everybody work even harder. The offense of Captain Skyline put the team on his back many occasions including Big Time runs to win games and clutch running in overtime. The template is there the next generation to Royals just need to follow what we have done and a championship will be in their future.
