Wow, this PT hits a little close to home. I'm not going to go into the entire back story of what has happened with the Chicago Butchers the last few seasons, as I'm quite sure everybody in the league knows most of it by heart at this point. Obviously, we aren't in contention for the playoffs this season and it will surprise no one to learn that we won't be in contention for some time. Luckily, we have exactly the two GMs I feel we need to get this turn around under way. They know as well as I do that draft capital is the most important thing for this team, but unfortunately, prior team management shipped most of that off, at least for the next couple of seasons. That means putting together a rebuild is going to be challenging, to say the least. We're going to have to find value in some later rounds of the draft, which is not always the easiest thing to do. I have faith in our new team leaders that they'll be able to do just that however. I know having spoken to them at length about just this subject, that they certainly feel they have the skills and the ability to make Chicago a league champion, and I for one agree.
