Going to bat for my beach boys. Myrtle Beach ranked #1 in rushing while Portland ranked #7, a difference of 750+ rushing yards. Myrtle Beach was also more efficient running the ball, with 4.8 yards per carry compared to Portland's 4.6. The Bucs offensive line also protected their quarterback better, allowing 12 sacks compared to Portland's 18.
IMO, being Doug Quail or Simon Tremblay and getting 50+ pancakes as part of arguably the league's top offensive line is more deserving of an award than being Byron Dolls and getting 60+ pancakes as part of one of the league's least impressive offensive lines. The Bucs OL produced two 1000+ yard rushers (2nd ranked Dax Frost and 4th ranked J.B. Apollo) too, whereas Portland produced one.
