6) Next Year
Written: If your team didn’t win the title this year, why do you believe they can win the next year (or the year after that)?

The Dallas Birddogs had a decent shot at making the playoffs this year. They were at a 5-5 record with 4 games to go. The team had been earning TPE quite steadily, but they had to face a couple good teams on their home turf and weren't up to the challenge, the following two home games were close but they managed to lose those too and go from what looked like a great 1st season for an expansion team to being at 5-9 and wondering where they went wrong. I think the offseason will treat them well, they have a ton of players earning TPE and they will be ready to make an impact next season. Assuming most of the team comes back next season they will have one of the best defenses and offenses in the league next season and will also be picking up draft picks to help out. I could definitely see the team getting into the dance and having a shot as early as next season. GMs Kyle and Mendoza have been great at motivating the team and keeping people going, if they keep up that same pace I expect to see more eyes on the birddogs and them moving up the power rankings.

12) Pay It Forward
Written: Write about someone in this league who you look up to or who you think of as a friend. Why do they deserve to be lauded?

I decided to write about @jeffie43 here. As many of you know I was active here before, I joined in S1 and played until S9 where I decided to take a break from the league before recreating. I actually had sorta moved on from NSFL but after the super bowl I had a bit of interest and Jeffie encouraged me to come back and give it a go. He's been in my PMs on a regular basis helping me out with my player and the league in general, although I think I've got it down pretty well now I'm sure I'll bug him for some fantasy suggestions again next season after his suggestions this season helped me win 1st in my group! Unfortunately Jeffie didn't really do as well as I did off his own advice and I think he ended without any TPE earned from fantasy, but oh well there's always next season. I would love to see Phillips drafted to the Otters so I could play along side my new friend, but who knows what will happen there. I had kinda expected to play with him in MB as I penciled myself going there in the 2nd or 3rd round of the DSFL draft, but alas, it didn't happen. Thanks for everything you do Jeff, you're a good one.

16) Scouting Report
Written: Write a scouting report for one of the incoming draftees in either the NSFL or DSFL.

My scouting report today is going to be on my friend Garfield Despacito Jr. Garfield is a Wide Receiver on the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers. He was drafted into the DSFL at number 79, 10 later than he was aiming for. (almost nice) Despacito had a fairly mediocre season playing down the depth chart a bit on a fairly stacked Myrtle Beach team. In 14 games he had a total of 13 received passes totaling 147 yards, averaging 11.3 per carry. His longest carry was 22 yards and he did end up getting 2 touchdowns. Garfield is likely not a highly coveted draft pick, but he has remained active and is probably good for a 700-800 TPE player if he keeps up his pace. I could see him being a good pickup in the later rounds of the draft for someone. He has however gone on record to say that he has a specific team in mind and doesn't want anyone else to draft him. That will likely hurt his draft spot as teams try to decide if he is worth taking the risk on when he has already talked about going to free agency. If I were to guess what round he would be drafted in I'd go with the 7th round. Which is actually a better spot than he was drafted in the DSFL.

20) Nostalgia
Written: What is your happiest memory in this league?

Easily it's winning the Ultimus in S4. Seasons 1-3 the Otters were one of the top teams in the league each season but got stopped by the Wraiths in playoffs. When the cheating scandals came out and some multis were found we felt ripped off by the first 3 seasons, the feeling around the room was that we could have been the team winning the trophy one of those seasons, if not more than one if it weren't for the cheating by other teams. When we won the cup in s4 it was absolutely awesome. We were validated in our work we had put into building a great team and it was a ton of fun winning with those guys. I didn't know at the time that we were going to win 3 in a row, which was great too, but the first one was the happiest memory I have from this league. I do remember Season 5 and Season 6 cup wins as well as fond memories, but I slowly was getting less active in the league by then and I was less of a contributor. In season 4 I was splitting duties with Westfield and we made a fantastic tandem on the field.
