6) Next Year
The Birddogs had a large uphill battle that was laid in front of the team at the beginning of the S21 season. The Dallas Birddogs being one of two expansion teams had no send downs and were at an extreme disadvantage, particularly at the beginning of the season. However, the Birddogs had a great draft and were able to pick up the most active S22 players and have one of the greatest TPE gains per player in the DSFL. This sets the Birddogs up to have a great season next year. While it will depend how who is sent down their is a large chance that some of the Birddogs key players will be sent down to boost the chances that the Birddogs will make it to the playoffs next season. Monty Jack as well as White Goodman and Kichwa Jones playing at competitive and valuable skilled positions will more than likely be sent down giving the offense an immediate boost next season. While other positions like the defensive line which currently includes 3 active S22 players will likely not be sent down, the other previously mentioned players being sent down will allow the team to concentrate on filling the gaps in positions that are in need to be filled creating a solid team for next season.

You may be thinking, "Another DT in the S22 class." And you would be right to some degree. There are 8 active defensive tackles whereas other positions have less actives or more positions to fill such as cornerback or safety. But you have to remember there are only there are only 13 active defensive tackles the are currently in the NSFL with 12 NSFL teams and each of these teams need 2 defensive tackles. So there are 24 total slots and 13 are taken for an opening of 11 slots for the 8 active S22 rookies. And I didn't even mention the fact that there is one tackle who is deep into regression and another who is hitting regression this next season. And on top of this there are 3 or 4 active players who are not in regression. So NSFL teams listen up! You better act quickly in the draft if you want a max earning defensive tackle such as Deshun Jones who ranks fourth in S22 defensive tackles. Deshun Jones is also a one of a kind player. He has chosen the run stopper archetype so that he can maximize strength up to 95 and is already sitting at 86 strength with 36 TPE in the bank. If I were an NSFL team, I would make sure to pick up Jones in the first round or risk losing your chance at a once in the lifetime opportunity.

Boy oh boy! What a blow out! The NFSC need to get their act together because they have not won an Ultimus since season 15! Really they should make the AFSC championship game the Ultimus as the real Ultimus is a beat down. Anywho let's get on to the review of the game which was essentially over in the first quarter when NOLA took an early 14 to 0 lead. NOLA took the gas off a bit in the 2nd quarter only scoring 3 points, but still was able to grow the lead through the 3rd quarter when they outscored the Wraiths 9 to 3 in the 3rd quarter which was the first time that the Wraiths were able to put points on the board. NOLA essentially steamrolled the Wraiths in every aspect you could think of. One of the biggest lopsided stat lines of the game was NOLA out rushing the YKW with 225 yards on the ground to Wraiths' 59 yards. And NOLA had 50 rushing attempts. Yes, 50! Stan Francisco also outplayed Bigsby with 3 TDs, 253 Yds, 1INT to Bigsby's 1 TD, 0 INT, and 278 yards. This offensive production allowed NOLA to dominate time of possession by more than 13 minutes. Adding all of these together allowed NOLA to come out and have an outstanding performance!
