6) Next Year
The Dallas Birddogs did not make it to the playoffs this year but the expansion team was close. Our team had a fighting chance until the very last week. The biggest issue is that we had a team with all new players and the TPE gap was wide this year. But throughout the year the team closed the gap and it showed on the field. On top of that the Birddogs have the most active users out of all the DSFL teams. Their defense was the strongest unit on the field and there is no change from that. Led by Colt Mendoza, Stanislaw Koniecpolski and Big Edd, all active users that will hit the maximum TPE count by the time next year rolls around and the whole unit will just keep getting better. The offense has a lot of room to improve, but the quaterback Monty Jack will get it together and help thrust the Birddogs into scoring a ton of points.Lastly, the new GM Kyle is in charge with his Co-Gm iSteg, and they will help build upon the amazing culture Gucci left. We were super closed this year but next season you can expect the Birddogs to come out swinging and compete for the Ultimini. Other DSFL better beware, the Birddogs are coming!
7) Robbed
The simulation can either work for you or against you. No matter how many times you sim your team winning a game there is always that chance that your team will not come out on top. And for that I think the sim robbed the Dallas Birddogs. We ran countless of sims to make sure we have optimal strategies, especially the last four weeks of the season where wins are important. The two away games had a slim margin of victory close to 50%, which no doubt was razor thin. But the sim punished us with our offensive line, they kept allowing sacks left and right which ended up with our quarterback throwing interceptions. The last two games that Dallas was supposed to win with a 65%+ rate and we got demolished. I feel like the sim was unfair to us with a blowout. I know that Dallas is a better team than the sim believes us to be. We deserved better because of our struggle to get better and the sim did not approve. Every single Birddog in the locker room tried his or her best to gain as much TPE as possible. Lastly, our wonder GM Gucci, was a brilliant strategist and the sim did not like it at all.
12) Pay it Forward
In the NSFL and DSFL there is a lot of people that are amazing to talk to, interact with and work with. In my first season in the NSFL I met a lot of people that I would consider friends. But one name comes to my mind specifically when I think great users, fellow teammate and I would consider a friend. His name is @Big Edd, who has the plays defense tackle for the Birddogs. Big "Snacks" Edd does not get a ton of recognition but I feel like he deserves more. Out in the general discord channels and forums he may not seem too friendly or sometimes too aggressive. Also he may come off a little selfish at times. But in the Dallas locker room he is a completely different person. Always helps out teammates in need and tries to earn as much as possible to give us a winning chance. When I get on the discord channel, I always look forward to chatting with him about sports, work, programming or life in general. We also just shoot it and try to catch as many pokemon as possible together while sniping them from other discord channels. Big Edd makes the already fun NSFL experience even better and cannot wait to see what teams we both end up in.
17) Sponsorship
Haha Mango-Panda is up and coming speed rushing linebacker from the Dallas Birddogs. And guess who contacted him for a sponsorship? The company Birddog! This is a great opportunity for the young player and will not hesitate on taking it. For the uninitiated Birddog creates pants that have underwear inside of them.
The ad will play out like this:
Have slow text fading in and out saying,
"Are you tired of underwear?",
"Are you tired of wedgies?",
"Are you tired of doing a ton of laundry?",
"Yes we are!"
As the last text of the response fades, Mango-Panda in his brand new navy Birddog gym shorts with the Dallas Birddog logo on the right corner, speeds through a 40 yard dash run with a blazing 4.3 speed. The shot will just focuses on his shorts while he's running.
The shot pans towards another football player with no birddogs on and is pulling a wedgie out while running.
Then Mango-Panda pops up in front of the camera and states, "If you want comfort without the wedgie or riding, get Birddog, it's what you need, the pants of the future."
The last shot is Mango-Panda doing squats while the camera focuses just on his butt. And the end text appears "No Wedgie, Go birddog".
