6) Next Year
Written: If your team didn’t win the title this year, why do you believe they can win the next year (or the year after that)?
Next season Sofa will exact revenge not on one player, not on one team, but the entire league. 270 times there as a named called not his, 270 times a GM thought they found a better prospect than Sofa, and 270 times a GM made a mistake. Sofa will exact his revenge by winning back to back ultiminis and nothing will be able to stop him. As a player maxed out at 250 TPE before the season starts and likely being the only quarterback, Sofa will have an incredible opportunity to shine amongst all the muck in the DSFL. Sofa Will prove to everyone the curse is real, that Mr. Irrelevant is the most relevant player in the league. He will come back and not only win the Ultimini, but the MVP, QBotY and so many more awards. Why do I know this will happen? Because it's already been set in motion; since joining the league only one team has won the ultimini, Myrtle Beach. The team that drafted him? No surprise, it is myrtle beach. Sofa is the second coming of Joilet Christ, Sofa IS the next Armstrong, Sofa WILL BE better than Childish Gambino. Next season will be a season the DSFL will not soon forget.
9) Dynasty
Written: Convince us that your team will be the next NSFL or DSFL dynasty.
How do I know that Myrtle Beach will be the next dynasty? The answer is quite simple, Myrtle Beach is the only beach that has Tom Sofa guaranteed for the seasons to come. While it may be true that in the seasons to come Sofa may be called up to play in the bigs, I expect that to be a few seasons away. I truly believe that Sofa will be able to play for the Buccaneers for at least 3 seasons more. What does that mean for Myrtle Beach? They will win the next 3 ultiminis. You may ask, what then? What about a life after the DSFL for Sofa, what should we expect? Well the answer there is quite simple as well: the team graced with his presence in the NSFL will meet the same fate, the fate of being a pure dynasty. Not only will Sofa have developed incredibly in the DSFL, but the team that drafts him will have the best free agent recruiter in the business, I mean really who doesn't want to play with Sofa? It would be pure madness I tell you. I promise you that no matter what team he is on tin the seasons to come, Sofa is a guaranteed dynasty centerpiece.
19) Team Culture
Written: What is it about your team’s culture and/or locker room that makes you happy to be there? If there are any problems, what do you think should be done to improve them?
The Myrtle Beach locker room is one of the most incredible places I have been in in any sim league. It's full of players who have all bought in to our system and full of a camaraderie that you love to see in a locker room. I would rather be nowhere else, this place is truly my home. When I was taken last overall in the draft I really didn't know what to expect when I went into the locker room, I certainly didn't expect the warm welcome I got. I immediately became one of the fold, a beach boi. The team culture as a whole is entirely incredible. Not only is it players currently on the roster that pop in, but players of teams past and even players that never were. This place is just an awesome hangout and I doubt any locker room I step into will be able to top the experience I have here. I love seeing all the faces day in and day out and I can't wait to see even more faces in there come next season. I love Myrtle Beach, and one day I too will be a face of team old, popping in to say hello.
20) Nostalgia
Written: What is your happiest memory in this league?
Oddly enough my happiest memory of the league has come from being drafted last overall. I think people might have thought I would take it negatively but I really haven't, I found it kind of funny. The day of the draft I was working (because back then work still existed) so I wasn't able to tune in until later anyway. When I had gotten off I was able to hop in the discord and when I saw I had no invites or anything I went to the rookie discord. I asked "have I been picked yet?" and answers all around were "no." So I then tune in just in time to see myself get picked 271st overall and get anointed the exalted title of Mr. Irrelevant. I then get an excited message from my new GM "Hey! Welcome to Myrtle Beach! We know we got a steal with you!" That message felt incredible on a few different levels. I accepted the invite from frostbite and then joined the locker room and immediately felt love and support from the whole locker room. It was truly amazing. Then, later that night, I go back into the rookie discord and see some player talking trash about myrtle beach so the first thing I try to do is defend our honor. Then I got the infamous reply seen in my signature. The kicker of it all was that I had no idea who cory was at the time lmao.
