3. I believe Wesley Eriksen, Safety for the Norfolk Seawolves will be a huge X-Factor going into any playoff game. I believe this player has shown an incredible drive and determination heading into all of Norfolk’s regular season games. Whilst he may sometimes be in the background compared to Matt ‘Son of Havoc’ Cross, he still remains one of Norfolk’s key defensive components. Furthermore, I would argue that if any team heads into a playoff game underestimating Eriksen’s physical capabilities, mental fortitude or pure heart that he puts into every game, they will have already resigned themselves to defeat. It says something about the man that he is the Seawolves’ ninth highest TPE earner, and out of the season twenty-two Developmental Simulation Football League rookies drafted by Norfolk, he is the fourth highest TPE earner. Arguably one of Eriksen’s largest strengths is something that the other teams in the league would not have realised until they lined up against him. And that is his ability to command a team and become an inspiring figure for the Norfolk secondary to rally around. This man’s presence in the locker room has inspired many other players to keep updating and keep spirits high through some devastating losses. Therefore, it is my strong belief that Wesley Eriksen will be one of the biggest X-Factor’s heading into Norfolk’s playoff games. (224 Words)
6. Unfortunately, the Norfolk Seawolves were knocked out of the Developmental Simulation Football League’s Southern Conference final by the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers eighteen to nothing. Whilst this loss is considered a blowout and has been on my mind for the past couple of days, I cannot help but at least be a little inspired by it. With a score like that, it is clear that we can only improve from here. Next year, whilst Norfolk will most likely lose some of their highest earners and more experienced players like Flash Panda and Dorfus Jimbo Junior, I truly believe that next season will allow for many of this year’s season twenty-two rookies to come into their own. I can very easily see myself (Suleiman Ramza), Wesley Eriksen, Luke Skywalker, Tequila Sunrise and Spike Suzuki becoming stalwarts of the Norfolk front line. To win the Ultimini next year, we need to increase exponentially on offence, defence and special teams. But that is what makes Norfolk quite special. The locker room is so supportive and so geared up to help players thrive, that it is impossible not to be swept up in that momentum. Especially now, more than ever, Norfolk is the place to be if you want to develop. This year Norfolk saw the most winningest record in their history, next year, we win the Ultimini. (223 Words)
8. I do not believe any player on the Norfolk Seawolves would be able to talk about revenge without mentioning the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers. Not only did these buckets of scum knock us out of the play offs this year, they also blew us out, eighteen to nothing. In addition, they are arguably the Seawolves’ fiercest rivals. And what has to be the worst thing of all, they won the damn Ultimini! Right now, the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers have to be considered the best team in the Developmental Simulation Football League. And that really pisses me off! And it also really pisses me off that I have had to spend all those words praising them for their accomplishments. Honestly what aggravates me the most is that during our playoff game, they did not flat out steamroll us. Our defence was still great, their offence was just that little bit better, and it allowed them to go for four field goals against us. Their team was not clearly better than us, they were just able to capitalise on nine penalties that left us giving up seventy-one yards. I need to stop myself now, or else I am going to keep going with all the reasons why I want revenge on the Buccs. But needless to say, I cannot wait to absolutely destroy the Buccs the next time I, and the rest of the Seawolves see them on the field. (237 Words)
12. I am in no way pushing forward a unique or controversial opinion when I saw that Moonlight, otherwise known as Franklin Armstrong, is one of the best figures in the entirety of the National Simulation Football League; not only to aspiring quarterbacks, but to all players in the league. Whilst my interactions with him stem mainly from when I first joined the league, they are still heavily present in my mind, and are still values that I hold dearly to myself. The title of this point task is ‘Pay it Forward’ I have seen no one do this more than Franklin Armstrong. After he saw me create my character, he went out of his way to find my reddit account of the same name and message me there, welcoming me to the league. From there, we spent a couple of days conversing, with him imparting as much knowledge as a three time Ultimus winner could. Personally, I was just astounded that this huge figure in the league was willing to spend time helping me out. Since those conversations I have found that I have been instilled with inspiration. And I know that it has influenced the way that I carry myself in this league. I hope one day to be as great of a figure to the future as Franklin Armstrong was to me. (224 Words)
