Especially after seeing some of the teams protection lists. I reckon the first WRs will be coming off in the 2nd round, with a slight chance of even being taken late in the 1st. COL almost certainly losing Forty-Two to expansion and Bishop to regression, OCO likely losing Dexter Banks to expansion, YKW lost Gordon and Nate Swift going down to regression, NOLA have Podolak and no one else, AUS could lose Tidwell to expansion and if not, he’s still heading into more regression. So lots of Potential WR needy teams and not too many elite at the position available imo so I don’t see why WRs would fall. Especially considering the depth at DB this draft.
I don't think WR is particularly thin this draft. There are 4-5 guys who could easily be 1st round talent in any other draft.
Colorado will be looking yes,
OCO have Kurisota, so I can't see them spending too highly at WR when they have other needs.
YKW lose Rayne yes but they still have Swift for another year, and Rodriguez. Plus there are huge holes in their secondary that need addressing first.
NOLA might go WR in the second round with their first two picks already locked. Don't forget they like to play Toriki or Gump out wide in most sets as well.
AUS have Gaines and Ford, but will certainly be looking to add something later on.
And although while the DB list is deeper, the talent pool favoured the defensive side of the ball this year. A lot of defensive players that are bringing much more to their team than just a body.
