1) Playoff Predictions, Reviews:
The Ultimus game was a rather emotional affair for me. I knew I was stepping down after the game, so I knew this was going to be my last chance to win a title in this league. I knew that we were going into the game as a heavy favorite because of home field advantage and that made me even more nervous, after having lost four games this season when we were heavy favorites. The game thankfully started off on the right foot for us and immediately we took a 7-0 lead after a 7 yard touchdown to Austin McCormick. After that, we managed to put another touchdown up, Bonaberi Jones made it 14-0 in the first quarter still. We went to half time with a 17-0 lead. The defense really crushed it in this game, keeping them at such a low score. After three quarters and a long Gump touchdown catch, we were leading 26-3 and it looked like we will win it. Toriki added another touchdown and our defense really was dominant, only allowing one touchdown in the game, with the clock expiring basically and we won 33-13 - what a game! We are so incredibly happy that this run went as well as it did and we can really be proud of what we achieved.
2) Playoffs MVP
In his last season with his current player, @slothfacekilla showed us what a real playoff MVP looks like. Slothface was all over this playoff run for us. In our first game, he dominated with 6 tackles and a huge sack. In our second game, he was even bigger. He might have had the best game of the playoffs there for him. In our crucial win on the road against Orange County, Slothface came through with 8 tackles and yet another monumental sack. He also added three passes defended, which is an excellent measure for a LB like him. And in the finals, Slothface once again showed his strength, with 4 tackles, 1 sack and another pass defended. He was great in every game and helped us get to the promised land. He was part of our insanely dominant defense who had some really amazing stand out performances this playoffs, especially in the finals and he was the person to help them do it! We ended up with one of the most stand out performances of the playoffs or any playoffs and Sloth was a big factor who drove us to this success and towards this championships with his incredible attitude and his amazing personality and on field performance. Sloth is a great teammate and I am very pleased that we managed to give him a title before he officially retired. Thanks sloth <3
4) OL or K/P Appreciation
You want to hear about dominant Offensive Line play? Well you should come to the New Orleans Second Line then. We have that in many forms. Brave Ulysses and Givusafare Rubbe are the two premium Offensive Linemen in the entire league. They are part of what makes our success possible. In the first round of the playoffs they were still getting warmed up, with Rubbe having 4 pancakes and Ulysses 2. In the second round they were already getting better, with Rubbe getting 8 pancakes and Ulysses 5 in a crucial win for us over the Orange County Otters to give us an ultimus appearance. And what they did there, well they went above and beyond. In our dominant performance in the Ultimus, Rubbe ended up with a sensational ELEVEN pancakes while Ulysses himself had an astonishing NINE. TWENTY pancakes between the two. They were fantastic. What a game by them! I think it cannot be overstated how much 20 pancakes really are and how much they help. That is an incredible performance, one for the ages by them. The whole Yellowknife team in the finals only had 23 pancakes, and those two by themselves already had twenty. It was an incredible game and they deserve a lot of recognition for this as they helped us win a title!
